Editorial Standards

How we research, verify, and correct what we publish.

Evidence First

Every article on this site starts from verifiable sources: professional bodies such as the Association for Applied Sport Psychology, published salary aggregators, university program pages, and government labor data. We prefer primary sources over secondhand claims, and we say plainly when a figure comes from an aggregator rather than an official body.

No False Certainty

We do not present estimates as facts. Salary ranges are labeled with their source and date. Program details are described in general terms unless we can verify them. When the evidence is thin or mixed, we say so instead of filling the gap with confident language.

Verification Before Publishing

Before an article goes live, its factual claims are checked against the cited sources: names, numbers, requirements, and fees. Sources are listed at the end of each article with the date they were checked, so readers can judge freshness for themselves.

Clear Boundaries

This site covers mental performance skills for healthy athletes and performers. It does not provide clinical advice, and our articles say so. The author is not a licensed clinician, and we never frame performance techniques as treatment for mental health conditions.

No Bought Rankings

We do not rank schools or programs as "best," and no placement on this site can be bought. When we explain how to compare programs, we give readers the criteria and let them decide.

Corrections Policy

Mistakes happen, and we fix them openly. If you spot an error, write to info@sportsperformancepsychology.com. Verified corrections are made promptly, and significant corrections are noted so readers know what changed.

Advertising and Independence

If the site displays advertising in the future, it will be clearly separated from editorial content. Advertisers do not influence what we write, and an ad is never an endorsement.
